I wanted to let you know that we completed our NMMA survey. I have to say that there was not a single question that we could answer with anything less than ‘Excellent’. We’ve had our boat ‘Simply Irresistible’ for over a month now and we are so happy and so completely delighted with her that we just rave about Sumerset and the building process. We just love the ‘oohs and aahs’ of our friends and dockmates that tour our boat. It works out that any new boat that arrives at the dock is automatically an ‘open house’. We love having everyone tour our boat and then sharing with them our experience with Sumerset. Thank you and the Sumerset Team again for making the building process such as pleasure. I’ve attached a few pictures of our trip from Burnside to Jamestown Marina on April 1, 2006. You’ll notice that we’re flying the ‘Sumerset’ flag.

Dear Sumerset,

I enjoy reading the testimonials on your website from other satisfied customers so I decided to write one of my own. My wife Danielle and I got the bug to buy “a boat” in July of 2004 and three weeks later found ourselves the proud owners of a 1989 14×64 Sumerset from Holiday Boat Sales on Lake Lanier. We immediately fell in love with the houseboating lifestyle and started dreaming of a larger and newer boat. In September of 2004, after watching your production photos daily, we purchased a new 2005 Sumerset 16×68 that had just been completed. We have spent all but a handful of weekends since then on our Sumerset “Double Dog Dare”, named after our two Golden Retrievers who also love the boat. Even though I know our boat pales by comparison to many of the larger custom Sumersets that you manufacture, we are very pleased with the quality and attention to detail that our boat exemplifies. We have enjoyed our relationship with the wonderful folks at Holiday Boat Sales and consider them our friends. There is certainly a larger houseboat in our future, and it will be a Sumerset. Attached are photos of “Double Dog Dare” on one of its first of many beachings in 2005. Keep up the good work with the daily production photos. We bought our boat sight unseen because of how detailed the production photos were.

Amanda and I are Sumerset’s new biggest fans. In my first email, we commented on our high level of satisfaction with the sales/marketing and the design phase of our houseboat purchasing experience. Now we are in the middle of what I thought would be the hardest part, the waiting. However, Sumerset’s web based daily photos allow the customer to in effect; take a site visit to observe the day’s construction. Each day we eagerly await the progress photos so we can learn more about our new Sumerset. Nancy Rimas has done an outstanding job taking our photos. And per our request, she is giving us a play-by-play for each day’s progress. This is truly a first class service and one of the features which surely sets apart the “Sumerset Experience” from that of other manufacturers.

Good news. Our new Sumerset is going to be complete this week. And if our timing could not get any better, we sold our present houseboat this past weekend. Please have our 2001 Lakeview taken down or listed as ‘Sold’ if you wish to keep it up use it as a marketing proof statement. We’re excited and looking forward to our delivery of our new Sumerset, “Simply Irresistible.” Please feel free to add our names to your list as a reference for you and Sumerset. A recommendation on our part is so easy when you and Sumerset are so good at setting expectations and then over-delivering. You and the entire Sumerset team have been a pleasure to work with and have exceeded our expectations is so many ways. Steve, first of all it is rare that I write a letter to thank and compliment a company or individuals I do business with personally. The primary reasons are they don’t exceed my expectations and I usually don’t want to take the time. However my experience with Sumerset Houseboats and Holiday Boat Sales did exceed my highest expectations so I had to take the time to write.

My wife and I love our new Sumerset. We were previous “Sumersetters” on a 1998 16×73 and enjoyed it so much we finally decided to build a New 2006 18x 85. What a boat!! The excellence in craftsmanship and finish are beyond compare. It is absolutely beautiful. Of course, I expected that. What I did not expect was the fabulous experience of designing, decorating and building this new boat. Your team at Holiday Boat Sales is terrific. JR, Peter, Wanda, Brian, Tim, Sara, Paul and the rest of the team are truly professional, know what they’re doing and made the entire process from design to delivery thoroughly enjoyable.
