I want to personally thank you and your team for hosting Danielle and I last week when we visited the factory for our design session. The great hospitality shown by Sumerset at this year’s Houseboat Expo and the reception afterwards was only exceeded by our incredible visit to the factory. What a fantastic week! After having such a great ownership experience with our 2005 Sumerset we had no doubt that we would own a newer, larger Sumerset one day. All of the time we have spent with you, Johnny Flatt, Donna Hoffman, Greg Baldwin, and Fred Browning has been enjoyable and further supports our decision to build a new Sumerset. Everyone at the factory was so helpful and patient with us and made the design process a lot of fun. I have to commend the Schwan family and the Holiday Boat Sales staff in giving us great customer support in Georgia and making these two new Sumerset purchases a reality. Please thank your team on our behalf for making our dreams come true.

Dear Steve and Team Sumerset,

Somebody did an OUTSTANDING job of making Sumerset Houseboat the star attraction at EXPO 2007!!!!! Myra & I are not 100% sure of who should get the credit, but in our opinion you once again you should get the lion’s share. Myra & I were very touched to be included in EXPO and hope we were helpful in making it a success.

As always it was super to see the fine group of Sumerset people but Myra and I are especially glad of time that we get to spend with you! We like being around positive people that are making the world a better place.

I recently got a call from Greg Conklin about a survey I took a few months ago. In this survey I must have marked a couple of things incorrectly. I would like to tell you what great workmanship, knowledge of product, the finest service department I have every dealt with. Your staff make it fun to buy your product. I even feel long after my warrantee has run out I will still have a friend I can turn to in a time of need. I have bought many boats in my day but never one like a Sumerset - I got the company with it. Anyway I just wanted to write you a short note to say be proud of what you got — it’s the best.

Great to hear from you! We are so excited, as I’m sure all your customers are, and you’re daily photographs mean more to us than you’ll ever know! A goodie basket from ya’ll sounds like fun too, and we’ll be more than happy to advertise your good name. We currently own a 16×78 Sumerset (which we also boat from Holiday Boat Sales) and would never consider any other brand or dealer! Tim McNeill is the best and we’re already joking with him about the next boat we’ll build when all our kids are through with college! That’s why we let he and Wanda pick out all our interiors — so they’d be sure to like it enough to do another trade-in down the road. LOL!

Our boat is here. We are slowly getting settled in. The first and second day took all my time showing the boat. The stairs and the dumbwaiter have been a hit. All the girls liked my kitchen. (It is workable). I just wanted to drop you a note and I wanted to thank you for all your help. The thank you goes to everybody that worked on the boat and got it here. My compliments to the crew that delivered the boat. When I get it together, I will try and e-mail you some pictures.

Dear Greg,

As always, the people at Sumerset make the experience a great one. It’s amazing the detail everyone catches. For instance, the can lights over the kitchen island were white trim at first. I thought - that sticks out. Then the next day they were black (much better). The trim guys suggested the crown down the hall. Great suggestion. They could have just followed what was the plan without taking the initiative to go beyond their job. Of course, I know they perform their job like we do at FedEx – provide the ultimate customer experience. Please let them know that we appreciate their dedication.

Kathy gets the credit for the floor plan. She cut and paste for days.

Dear Steve:

You have a great team from Greg Smith, our salesman, all the way through Kenny Roberts, our Service Technician. Nancy Rimas did a fantastic job as our “eyes in Kentucky.” Greg Baldwin was always quick to respond via email or phone; usually within an hour or so. Donna Hoffman was our design person and helped us make design decisions. Fred Browning, your auto-cad person, was also very helpful.. He drew and re-drew our plans until it came out just right. Then there was the set-up team, Jacky Phelps, his son, Jason and two others. They did a fantastic job. I saw a reading of 126 degrees on the ambient temperature gauge of my Suburban while they worked as a team. It was a pleasure to watch. We love the boat and are very glad we chose Sumerset.
