Cooper Testimonial
Tuesday, Apr. 22 2008Johnny:
I would like for you to let Steve Lochmueller know –first of all, the boat is awesome. Secondly, the transport crew - Eddie Bell, Bobby Edwards, Paul Chaplin, Glenn Godsey and Dwight Baker, all worked their asses off getting the boat together and addressing each and every issue. Last, but not least, from the beginning what a big help you , Nancy and Donna were through out the process. I know what it’s like running a business (or should I say several businesses) and to have quality people like this is rare and very hard to come by.
Sincerely,
Doug Cooper

Johnny,
I know that Doug already sent a message about how pleased we are with the boat but I wanted to get my two cents in also.
The entire process from working with you and then Nancy and Donna was a pleasure. I want to especially thank Donna for helping with the rug choices. By the time I was to that point, I was finished making decisions. I am very pleased with the rugs—-they look great!
With the struggles with weather, etc I want to commend the transportation staff. They were professional during the entire process—and I’m sure they were frustrated with the wind and rain. After the boat was in the water and then in the dock, they continued to work even with all of us in their way—trying to move things in and asking them questions—they were all very polite, helpful and eager to address any questions.
Thanks again for everything!
Nancy Cooper

Dear Donna,
This note of thanks is to convey my appreciation for helping in the design of my houseboat. Without your patience and expertise, I would have never been able to accomplish so much in such as short time! I truly enjoyed working with you and hope to see you this summer when the houseboat is completed.
Thanks again,
Pam Diez

Re: RJ Corman Houseboat
Dear Steve,
Rick Corman suggested that I might come down to your plant last week with one of his best welders, Mr. J.J. Heckman. Mr. Heckman is an accomplished welder who has fabricated boat shells in Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. I personally have seen his skills on several projects, and believe him to be the best I have ever seen.
Mr. Heckman and I visited the plant on March 14, and I am pleased to report that both he and I were extremely impressed with the quality of all the welds on the aluminum hull. Aluminum is very susceptible to warpage with the heat applied in welding, and the spacing and penetration of all the welds showed immense knowledge and experience in the welding process.
I wanted to write to you to let you know how impressed Mr. Heckman and I were with the quality and workmanship we have seen to date. I would like to commend you on that quality, experience, and workmanship we have seen at Sumerset Houseboats.
Sincerely,
Brian D. Sawyer, AIA Architect

Monday, Mar. 3 2008Dear Steve and Team Sumerset,
I want to thank you and your wonderful team for making This is the Life… our dream come true… This was our second custom designed Sumerset and we knew before the delivery of our first houseboat that we wanted something even larger and more special… the anticipation builds from the design and construction phase including the eagerly awaited daily pictures on your website which are so much fun to view and to be able to watch the build progress without physically being there to the delivery… Enough can not be said about the maintenance team head by Greg Conklin for their hard work and dedication to insuring that every aspect of our home is in perfect condition with special thanks to Kenny and Bobby for all their help… And lastly to the Schwan Family and the Holiday Boat Sales staff without whom this dream would not have become a reality…
Please extend our words to your entire team and everyone at Holiday Boat Sales for a job well done!

Hi GREG,
We’re in Memphis for 10 days but I wanted to let you know how much we appreciated Kenny’s taking care of our punch list items before we left for Memphis. Once again we’re so fortunate to have such an extremely talented crew work on our boat. Kenny had all the answers to all our questions and found ways to correct those items rather than just putting off until a later date. We are very impressed with his very professional attitude. It is very apparent that he loves working for Sumerset and especially working with the customers. As I’ve said many times before, if there’s a better houseboat manufacturer than Sumerset I’d like to meet them! Thanks a million!

Coleman Testimonial
Thursday, Jan. 24 2008Steve & Crew,
We want to say thank you for our new Sumerset houseboat! As you know, this was the purchase of our second luxury Sumerset. Our first was a great experience for the summers of 2005 & 2006. We were offered a price we couldn’t refuse on it, so we sold it with the mindset that we would order a new one. (Although we waited one season, it was tough to go without a Sumerset!) We were so pleased to see it coming down Highway 65 to Branson. When it was launched, I felt my fun life had started back up again.
When we set out to design this boat with Bob Cox of The Harbor & Sumerset, our goal was to create a one of a kind, very unique creation. We were confident that the quality of workmanship would be top notch. We were concerned with getting way outside of the box with many of our ideas and there were plenty! Double French doors, antique fireplace and built-ins, retro appliances, stamped tin ceilings, crystal hardware throughout, taller ceilings, hardwood floors, painted woodwork, old-fashioned trim and hardware on all details, solid regular swing doors, a gorgeous glass-paneled, solid front door. Those who first saw it commented most on its uniqueness. From it’s old home cottage feel to its warmness. They love the master suite with its built-in couch and walk-in closet. The tile showers are old hardware shower heads including the old claw foot tub with built-in whirlpool jets. The mixture of cabinets added excitement and warmth.
The outside is equally unique with the L-shape stairs to 87 feet of an open party deck. The simple paint color is perfect and attention to detail surrounds the vessel. Sumerset has set a higher bar with this boat. We love it and summer hasn’t even arrived yet. Steve, as you know, our real estate company specializes in selling high-end lake homes for living on Table Rock Lake and in the Branson area. We feel we have the most luxurious and unique lake front home in our area.
We can’t say enough for Bob Cox, our local representative. He made our overall experience a rewarding and fun time.
I would only hope that everyone who orders a Sumerset gets to feel what we have while watching it being built to being delivered. And to think, the real fun is just beginning. Steve, my wife and I thank you as well as our 6 kids, 3 grandkids, and all our friends. The Sumerset crew gets a big high five for a beautiful, quality priced boat!
Sincerely,
Ken Coleman & The Coleman Family

To Everyone at Sumerset,
The Barba Family wants to thank you for building our Houseboat. This is our first, but it will not be our last. This was the easiest purchase that I have ever done. Everyone involved was very helpful. Although we are unable to use the Houseboat until May 2008, we look forward to a very enjoyable summer here at Lake Raystown, Hesston - PA.
We would also like to thank you for the presents that you have sent to us. My daughter is excited every time a Sumerset Houseboat package shows up at our house. Today she even noticed the printed tag on the box.

The Harbor Testimonial
Monday, Nov. 5 2007Steve,
Just wanted you to know what a great job Sumerset Transport did bringing in and rigging the Coleman boat in this weekend. Kudos to Paul, Bake, Caruso and Wes on an outstanding delivery.
I wish you were here to see how supportive, informative and customer oriented each man was to the Colemans. They took extra effort during the rigging process and then spent extra time with the customers personally after we got it to the dock to really make Ken and Ali comfortable and proud their new boat.
They took a potentially difficult situation in stride and were terrific ambassadors for the company and our product.
We’ve still got a number of items to punch out, but my hats off to everyone at TEAM SUMERSET on the execution of unique boat. It was truly a team effort.
